Recurring & Seasonal

Lawn Mowing

We provide a 6-Month Seasonal Lawn Mowing service, April 15 to October 15. Please note that we may start a bit earlier than April 15, or end a bit later than October 15 depending on the grass growing conditions.

As part of your service schedule, we mow, trim and power blow your lawn, and power blow your walk areas.

HEDGE & SHRUB TRIMMING

Our Hedge and shrub trimming service is provided on a “per call” basis. During estimation we will calculate the required frequency of trimming based on type of tree and desired aesthetic.

Flower Bed Maintenance

One Time flower bed maintenance : With this service we will clear your flowerbeds of winter debris and dry vegetation, cultivate your flowerbed soil, edge, and lay new mulch in the color of your choice.

Seasonal flower bed maintenance : You can request to have regular flowerbed service throughout the season, April to October.

In April we would perform the same service listed above under One Time flower bed maintenance.

Once a month in May, June, July, August, and September we would cultivate the soil again to keep it maintained and prevent hardening. We would also pull weeds, trim flower bed vegetation, and re-define the flower bed edges as needed.

In October, we would close the season with one final clean up where we put your flowerbeds "to sleep" by cutting the tops of perennials, pulling out annuals, and doing a final flower bed surface raking.

Additional Services

Mulching - Helps suppress weed growth, maintain soil temperature, and conserve moisture. Clients may choose color of their choice.

Core Aerating - Overtime, your lawns soil becomes compacted, and hard, preventing air, water and nutrients to penetrate the grasses roots. A minimal schedule would be to aerate once per year, but for a well maintained lawn, lawn aeration should be performed twice per year, once in the Spring and once in the Fall.

Over-seeding - Over-seeding a lawn is the most inexpensive way to rescue a diminishing lawn.  By over-seeding you prevent further spread of weeds and dead grass by filling in bare spots and removing infected patches which results in a fuller lusher lawn.

Lawn De-tahtching - Over time, a layer of dead grass roots, stems and debris builds up on the top layer of the lawn soil. This layer of "thatch", provides a hiding place for insects and prevents water and nutrients from getting below the soil surface. Thatch covers the soil surface so grass can not dense up, spread, and propagate freely.  De-thatching helps remove the layers of dead grass so you can ensure proper growth without infected grass getting in the way of your progress.

Lawn Fertilization (4 step process Spring to Fall) - Golden Oak Landscaping prefers controlled release fertilizer treatments which releases nutrients according to soil moisture and climate conditions over time. This process ensures your yard is not over-fertilized resulting in a loss of health and green density.

Flower Bed Planting- For planting projects we will add top soil and fertilizer to ensure optimum plant development. We either do a complete coverage of the flower bed areas, or a partial coverage depending on Client request

Lighting Design, Patios, Walks - At Golden Oak Landscaping, we create extraordinary outdoor living spaces using the highest quality construction materials.
